What is CCMS all about? |

FaCSIA rather than Centrelink.
How has this affected child care software providers? Following a briefing on the requirements some ten months ago, providers had to decide whether they would make their systems compliant or not. SDC International, the developer of Heartbeat4Kidz, has been actively involved in the development process as a member of the software providers’ consultative committee.
What are the time constraints? Any software used to communicate with CCMS must be registered by FaCSIA. This process is currently underway. Once a provider has had its program registered it must participate in a pilot program which is to be completed by the end of the year. Roll over to CCMS will commence in January, 2008. The current system will remain in place in parallel with the new system for a year. By January, 2009 systems must be CCMS compliant. Will your system?
Where is Heartbeat4Kidz positioned? It was always our intention to be compliant as soon as possible. We have been active and concientious in our efforts to achieve this. We have been prompt with our testing. We have had the active support of our sites, with a number volunteering to participate in the pilot testing. We were among the very first providers registered by FaCSIA as compliant.
Time is short. You need to check on your provider’s progress. |
